CURRENT POSITIONS:

Senior Accountant, Oil and Gas

Location: Tulsa, OK

Reports To: Controller

Essential Functions:
  • Analyze monthly expenditures and compare to AFE.
  • Process revenue distribution including netting of revenues with billings.
  • Compile check registers and bank activity to assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Record oil and gas revenues, review variances in pricing and volumes. Reconcile volumes of company-operated wells.
  • Compile and analyze various statistical and financial data for E&P operations. Review and analyze Lease P&L's.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Month end and year end closing
  • Record sales and purchases for crude oil marketing company. Reconcile inventory balances.
  • Record amortization of prepaid expenses (insurance, taxes, other expenditures) related to E&P operations
  • Reconcile various accounts; revenue, taxes payable and royalty payable accounts, accounts receivable, accrued expenses, intercompany payables, etc.
  • Set-up and maintain lease well information in SSI software.
  • Allocate various expenses for intercompany recordings.
  • Maintain Capital Assets and process monthly postings for depreciation. Calculate DD&A.
  • Special projects as required
Requirements and
Qualifications:
  • Degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum 10 years oil/gas experience.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong systems experience, preferably SSI.
  • Must be able to multi-task in multi-company environment.

Job Summary Data clean up from a variety of sources - financial systems, spreadsheets, CRM Import/export of data from a variety of systems into CRMCheck for duplicate data and correct Quality assurance against standardized rules Input of new data Market research and recommendation of lead generation activities and opportunities

Job Requirements: Understanding of relational data model concepts Experience working with Excel Ability to communicate verbally and in written form Ability to apply analytical concepts and skills to data cleanup and system integration tasks

Preferred Skills: Experience writing stored procedures and/or DTS packages in SQL Server 2000 or later or other relational database Travel to OKC possible Microsoft CRM experience, or other similar product Marketing/sales support acumen or background

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
